Orchard Park Community Primary School

STAFF VACANCIES

We currently have two staff vacancies:  KS1 Core Subject Leader and a Teaching Assistant post.

Are you looking for a great opportunity to make a difference to a new school within a growing community?  Does a small diverse city school on the edge of Cambridge appeal to you?  Are you ready to take those next steps in terms of strategic leadership?  Do you have a proven track history in KS1 and have the potential to help shape the future of the department and the success of the school?  If so, you are the person we are looking for!

We are looking for a KS1 and core subject leader to join our senior leadership team.  We need someone who will help us build on our early foundations and help move us into the next phase.  We are committed to providing the very best education to the children of Orchard Park and we need highly skilled, passionate leaders to help us.

Our school, recently reaffirmed as 'good' by Ofsted (March 2017), is a unique and special place to work.  We are a small school on the edge of Cambridge, which is at the heart of a new and growing community.  We are extremely proud of what our school has achieved since it opened 10 years ago and we are excited by what the next decade may bring.

We pride ourselves on our positive and nurturing ethos, quality first teaching and high expectations in all we do.  Our recent Ofsted stated that we are a school where "there is a culture of ambition, where children are encouraged to dream big".  We want an inspiring teacher and leader to join our team, to ensure that pupils make rapid progress through an exciting and engaging curriculum.

If you are:

  •

  • An outstanding classroom practitioner (in KS1 or lower KS2)

  • Able to inspire and motivate staff and children and have a track record of raising standards as a result

  • Committed to high standards

  • Able to lead a significant area of the school alongside phase leadership

  • Passionate about a broad and balanced curriculum and dedicated to the development of the whole child

  • Able to forge excellent relationships with pupils, parents and staff in every area of the school

  • Creative in your approach

  • Willing to play a role in all aspects of school life

  • A team player with a great sense of humour

We can provide you with:

  •

  • An enthusiastic, talented and dedicated team to work alongside

  • A school where everyone is valued and wellbeing is of high importance

  • Pupils that are hardworking and well behaved

  • An outstanding, striking learning environment

  • First rate ICT facilities

  • Excellent CPD opportunities and development package, including opportunities for national professional qualification

We would love you to see our caring and nurturing school in action and would therefore encourage you to visit us.  Please contact Lynsey in the School Office to organise a visit.

Please note that this role is a maternity cover post.  Please do not let this be a barrier for application.  We strongly advise that you visit the school so you can appreciate the opportunities ahead.
