Orchard Park Community Primary School

STAFF VACANCIES

We currently have four staff vacancies:  Reception Class Teacher (maternity cover in the first instance starting Jan 2019), a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, a Teaching Assistant and a Part-Time Cleaner

Our school, recently reaffirmed as 'good' by Ofsted (March 2017), is a unique and special place to work.  We are a small school on the edge of Cambridge, which is at the heart of a new and growing community.  We are extremely proud of what our school has achieved since it opened 10 years ago and we are excited by what the next decade may bring.

We pride ourselves on our positive and nurturing ethos, quality first teaching and high expectations in all we do.  Our recent Ofsted stated that we are a school where "there is a culture of ambition, where children are encouraged to dream big".

Reception Class Teacher (maternity cover in the first instance, starting January 2019)

Our Reception Teacher is leaving us to start her own family and therefore we are looking for a new member of staff for our EYFS team.  We are looking for a teacher who will continue the good work already in place and lead our Reception Class into its next phase.

Our OFSTED in March 2017 reported that the Early Years Curriculum was well developed and that pupils made good progress from starting points.  They also noted that:

  • The school drives for excellence and has a culture of high expectations and ambition

  • School leaders know the school well and effectively drive the school improvement process

  • The school constantly focusses on the quality of teaching and improving outcomes for pupils

  • The learning environment is striking

  • The teaching assistants are well trained and well deployed and are an asset to the school

  • Safeguarding is effective and the school acts swiftly if a pupil is at risk

  • The school is caring and nurturing.  It is highly valued by parents for the individual approach it takes.

In return we can provide you with:

  • Excellent professional development opportunities

  • An enthusiastic, talented and dedicated team to work alongside

  • A school where everyone is valued and wellbeing is of high importance

  • Pupils that are hardworking and well behaved

  • An outstanding, striking learning environment
